Thriving in trying times: A story of how Takoyadon’s leap of faith during the pandemic led to its success today

While other businesses were closing down during the height of the pandemic in 2020, Takoyadon took a leap of faith and opened its first branch in Gloria Diaz St., BF Resort, Las Pinas. And as they say, the rest was history.

What started out as a humble on-the-go Japanese food place in Las Pinas soon grew and expanded across Metro Manila and nearby provinces at full speed. During what is considered to be a trying time for most businesses, Takoyadon’s leap of faith established itself as a pandemic-proof brand and franchise business.

To date, Takoyadon is actively growing with 30 branches in food courts of big malls and commercial establishments and is still continuing to build additional branches across the country. This March, it also opened its first-ever full restaurant set-up in SM Muntinlupa that can seat 60 people at once.

“As we embrace the next journey after the pandemic, we hope it will be a good start for us to share the journey with our customers. We are excited to be part of their daily lives and celebrations,” shares Takoyadon’s founder.

Takoyadon’s authentic but affordable on-the-go Japanese specialty dishes such as Takoyadon, Yakisoba, Donburi, and Udon captured the taste buds of foodies and consumers across the Metro and nearby provinces. Business-wise, its competitive and profitable franchise package and well-thought-of Japanese food concept turned entrepreneurs and individuals into successful franchisees.
